Comrade Claire Ignores Constituents, Chooses the Resistance Instead

Despite that Missourians elected President Trump by 19 points, Claire McCaskill certainly didn’t heed their call to make Missouri great again. Instead, she proudly joined the resistance, an anti-Trump movement spearheaded by extremist Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), with whom McCaskill has voted 86% of the time.

One glaring example of obstruction by these scorned Democrats is the fact that the President’s wait time for Senate confirmation of his cabinet picks was the longest in 30 years. McCaskill was quick to pile on to the delay tactics. When the President appointed Scott Pruitt to lead the EPA, McCaskill quipped that approving him would be like “hiring an arsonist to put out fire.” Not shockingly, though, McCaskill voted for Obama’s EPA nominee, who was responsible for the Waters of the United States Rule that would have devastated rural Missouri had the Trump Administration not rolled it back.

She was also quick to judge then-nominee Jeff Sessions, brazenly tweeting that unlike Sessions, she had never called or met with the Russian Ambassador—“Ever.”That self-righteous proclamation turned out to be especially hilarious when it was revealed that McCaskill went to a dinner at the Russian Ambassador’s home, and she used funds from a private foundation to pay for it.

Overall, McCaskill voted against 7 of President Trump’s cabinet nominees. This is almost as many “No” votes as Hillary Clinton’s running-mate, Tim Kaine (D-VA). McCaskill also voted against Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch. In doing so, she joined the likes of far-leftists like Kaine, Warren and Chuck Schumer (D-NY), whose unabashed disdain for President Trump was summed up when he called the President’s cabinet “the worst cabinet he [had] ever seen in the history of America.

“Missourians spoke loud and clear when they voted overwhelmingly for President Trump, but McCaskill refuses to listen,” said Austin Stukins, Director of the Missouri Republican Party. “She touts herself as a moderate and pretends to be fully engaged with her constituents, but actions speak louder than words,” Stukins continued. “She can continue to obstruct President Trump and ignore her constituents, but when her name is on the ballot in November 2018, it will be their turn to vote “No.”
